In order to provide specific, effective treatment, an accurate diagnosis of your problem must be made. We begin with a detailed medical history followed by a comprehensive physical examination. X-rays may be ordered if required. These steps allow us to identify the underlying cause of your problem and focus our treatment on correcting this cause.
As chiropractors we are trained to use a variety of treatment methods to correct conditions affecting the joints, muscles and nerves of the body. These treatment methods include:
Joint Mobilization and Adjustments
We use gentle and specific movements applied to the affected joints to restore movement and correct alignment.
This is critical to re-establishing joint balance, restoring function and reducing symptoms.
We work on the tight and painful muscles that often accompany an underlying joint problem.
By massaging and stretching these muscles, pain is often reduced and better motion can be restored to the joints.
In order to return an injured area to full function we design a specific stretching and strengthening exercise program.
Without this step, the underlying imbalance and weakness is often not corrected, setting the patient up for relapse and recurrences.
